What is CrossFit?

The Crossfit program is constantly varied, functional movements, performed at high intensities. It is a strength and conditioning program that covers all 3 metabolic systems and all 10 major aspects of fitness (namely; endurance, strength, speed, stamina, power, balance, coordination, accuracy, agility and flexibility).

In essence it prepares the body to perform at any random task, activity or sport.

It is designed to elicit an internal motivation far greater than training by oneself and even one-on-one with a personal trainer, which leads to greater output and even better results.

Is this for me & what can I expect?

All workouts are scalable, in that no matter what your level of fitness or experience, whether you’re a professional athlete or exercise beginner, it is the perfect application for any committed individual. We scale the load and intensity, we don’t change programs. We all have the same relative body mechanics and what we do is move the body the way it should be. We change how difficult those movements are and not the movements themselves.

The training is designed to identify and automatically strengthen underdeveloped areas of your fitness, that in other programs or workouts don’t happen.

Below is a great video from a CrossFit affiliate in Cleveland that will give you a better understanding of who is benefiting & what you can expect when doing this training.
